System components
Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures the CMF Multifunction Plate Series from pure titanium for craniomaxillofacial trauma fixation and reconstructive procedures. The portfolio includes curved plates, branching configurations, and open mesh designs for cranial, midface, and mandibular contours. Multiple thicknesses and outlines provide options for anatomical regions where a straight plate does not match the required contour.
Curved, Branching, and Mesh Plate Configurations
The system combines curved bars, cross-shaped branches, and grid-style plates to accommodate varied craniofacial geometries. These configurations can be selected for skull vault, forehead, cheek, and jaw regions, helping align the implant shape with the intended reconstruction area.
Open Plate Geometry for Screw Placement
Round and elongated apertures extend across the plates and mesh components. This open geometry provides multiple potential screw locations around a reconstruction and maintains access through the implant surface.
0.6 mm Thin Profile for Craniofacial Contours
Every plate in this series is made in a 0.6 mm thin profile as well as a 0.8 mm one, and the 0.6 mm form is the reason to reach for it: two tenths of a millimetre less material sits between the plate and skin that is thin over the midface and the cranial vault. The pure titanium construction holds the selected component geometry at either thickness.
Component Selection for Different CMF Procedures
Short bars, curved segments, and larger lattice components cover different reconstruction spans. Physicians and distributors can select individual forms for localized facial areas or broader cranial coverage, and combine component types within the same operative plan when required.
The Plates in This Series
Straight Plate

A single row of holes in a flat bar, the plain span used where the fixation line is straight. Also supplied as a shorter bridge plate for narrow gaps.
Oblique L Plate

An arm branches from the hole row at an angle, in left and right forms, for a fixation line that changes direction once.
T Plate

A crossbar of holes above a straight shaft, putting three points of purchase across the top of a segment and a run of them down its length.
Y Plate

Two arms diverge from a common stem, so one shaft splits into two fixation lines.
Arc-Shaped Plate

A shallow crescent rather than a straight bar, following a curved bone margin without being bent to it by hand.
Double Y Plate

Paired arms at both ends of a short bridge, spreading purchase at each end of a span.
X Plate

Four holes at the corners of a compact cross, for a small fragment held from four directions at once.
Applications in CMF Trauma and Reconstruction
The system is intended for use in procedures involving:
- cranial vault reconstruction
- midface fracture fixation
- mandibular contour fixation
- craniomaxillofacial trauma reconstruction
The CMF Multifunction Plate Series can be used alongside the CMF Multifunction Instrument Set when plate shaping and placement are included in the procedure.
