Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures the Distal Femoral Lateral Locking Plate from pure titanium for lateral distal femur fixation. Its gently curved, broad distal section positions multiple apertures around the femoral condylar region, while the tapering shaft features an elongated sequence of openings for fixation along the femur. Left- and right-sided configurations, together with multiple plate lengths, support selection according to the femoral side and the planned fracture span.
Locking Screw Interface for Distal Femur Fixation
Locking apertures allow the screw heads to engage with the plate, forming a fixed plate-screw interface during assembly. This configuration connects the selected screw trajectories with the contoured distal section of the plate.
Distal Aperture Layout Around the Condylar Region
The widened distal section contains grouped, staggered apertures distributed across the plate. This arrangement provides multiple fixation positions around the distal femur and extends the aperture pattern across the broader condylar region.
Contoured Transition from the Femoral Condyle to the Shaft
Gently curved edges connect the broad distal section to the narrower shaft and rounded tapered tip. The gradual transition follows the longitudinal contour of the lateral femur without a sharp step between the plate sections.
Elongated Openings for Longitudinal Shaft Placement
A regular row of long oval apertures extends along the shaft, with each opening oriented in the longitudinal direction of the plate. Their elongated profile accommodates fixation planning along the femoral shaft rather than limiting placement to compact circular holes.
Lateral Distal Femur Fixation Applications
- Lateral distal femur fracture fixation
- Distal femoral condylar fixation
- Fixation along the lateral femoral shaft
- Selection of left- or right-sided femoral plates
The plate is part of the femoral fixation range and can be considered alongside the Distal Femoral Medial Locking Plate when the planned fixation path is on the opposite side of the distal femur.
