Overview

Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures the Distal Femoral Medial Locking Plate from pure titanium for medial distal femur fixation. Its widened, lobed distal section places multiple apertures around the medial condylar region, while paired waisted openings extend along a gently contoured shaft. Left- and right-sided configurations and multiple lengths allow distributors and physicians to select a plate according to the femur side and planned fixation area.

Distal Contour for Medial Femoral Fixation

The broadened distal end incorporates several lobes that extend the plate’s working surface around the medial distal femur. Apertures follow the contour of each lobe, creating multiple fixation positions around the condylar region rather than concentrating them along a single straight axis.

Elongated Shaft Apertures for Screw Positioning

Along the shaft, paired rounded openings are connected by narrow waists to form elongated apertures. This configuration provides additional longitudinal positioning space along the medial femoral shaft compared with a compact circular opening.

Left- and Right-Sided Plate Options

Side-specific versions are configured for the left or right femur, with the widened distal profile oriented toward the condylar region. Available length options allow selection based on the intended fixation span and the medial femoral anatomy being addressed.

Pure Titanium Plate with Rounded Transitions

The plate is manufactured from pure titanium and features a satin-finished surface. Rounded transitions around the apertures and along the perimeter create a continuous outline from the lobed distal section into the shaft.

Typical Fixation Applications

  • Medial distal femur fracture fixation
  • Medial femoral condylar fixation
  • Fixation extending along the distal femoral shaft
  • Left- or right-sided medial plate selection

For lateral distal femur fixation, Kangli Orthopaedics also offers the Distal Femoral Lateral Locking Plate within the same femoral and hip implant range.
