Overview

Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures this posterior calcaneal locking plate from pure titanium for fixation of the calcaneal tuberosity. Its elongated, serpentine profile consists of rounded lobes connected by narrow waists, with circular apertures arranged from the broader proximal section to the rounded distal end. This configuration provides an extended posterior fixation path without relying on a wide rectangular plate shape. It is supplied in left and right forms.

Posterior Plate Profile for Calcaneal Tuberosity Fixation

The plate follows a narrow, elongated route along the posterior calcaneal tuberosity. Successive lobes and connecting waists position the screw apertures across the length of the fixation area, supporting a distributed implant layout for posterior hindfoot procedures.

Varied Aperture Layout for Screw Positioning

The plate combines larger circular openings with smaller apertures positioned between them. Their distribution across the wider and narrower sections of the plate provides multiple screw-site locations along the changing contour of the calcaneal tuberosity.

Beveled Edges and Aperture Transitions

The aperture margins feature defined raised or beveled rims, while the outer perimeter is gently beveled instead of sharply squared. These details create gradual transitions around the openings and along the thin plate profile.

Orthopedic Applications

  • Posterior calcaneal tuberosity fixation
  • Minimally invasive calcaneal fracture fixation
  • Extended fixation along the posterior hindfoot

The posterior configuration can be used alongside the Combined Minimally Invasive Calcaneal Locking Plate when a separate branch arrangement is required for the fixation pathway.
