- Pure Titanium

Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures the Patellar Hook from pure titanium for patella fracture fixation and kneecap reconstruction procedures. Its compact central body connects to open, curved arms with different reaches, while rounded edges and recessed central fixation features follow the contours of the patella.
Open Arms for Patellar Margin Fixation
Separate upper and lower arms extend from the central body and curve inward toward open tips. This configuration is shaped to reach around the patellar margins without creating a closed loop, allowing the hook to correspond with the irregular outline of the kneecap.
Different Arm Lengths for Varied Patellar Coverage
The lower arms form broader, deeper arcs, while the upper arms follow a shorter and differently angled path. This variation in reach positions the implant across multiple areas of the patella rather than along one uniform edge.
Recessed Features in the Central Body
Circular recessed features are integrated into the upper surface of the central body to create defined fixation points within the implant's middle section. Their recessed arrangement maintains the compact body profile while the curved arms extend toward the patellar margins.
Rounded Contours from Body to Hook Tips
Smooth, rounded edges continue from the central body along the arms to the open tips. The continuous contour avoids abrupt corners in the implant outline and corresponds with the changing shape of the kneecap during positioning.
Patellar Fixation Applications
- Patella fracture fixation
- Kneecap reconstruction
- Fixation around the superior and inferior patellar margins
- Hooked fixation of patellar fragments
The Patellar Hook can be considered alongside the Patellar Locking Plate when the fixation configuration calls for curved arms around the kneecap instead of a plate-style body.
