Overview

Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures the Patellar Locking Plate from pure titanium for patellar fracture fixation and kneecap reconstruction procedures. Its connected, rounded bridges create an irregular footprint suited to the compact patellar region, while open windows and recessed drive interfaces define the lattice structure. Large, medium, and small size options allow the plate footprint to be selected according to the available bone and fracture configuration.

Lattice Plate Design for Patellar Fixation

The plate uses rounded bridges and open windows instead of a continuous metal sheet. This connected lattice exposes portions of the underlying bone between the bridges while providing a single plate structure for anterior patellar fixation.

Connected Bridges for Patellar Screw Placement

Peripheral loop-like sections connect with smaller central openings in a staggered layout. The arrangement provides multiple areas for screw placement around the patella while maintaining the continuity of the plate rather than using separate strips.

Recessed Interfaces for Locking Screws

The screw-head interfaces are recessed into the plate and feature a star-shaped driver pattern. When the locking screw heads are seated, they remain within the recessed areas of the lattice instead of extending above the plate surface.

Multiple Sizes for Different Patellar Footprints

Large, medium, and small plate configurations offer different overall footprints for patellar fixation. Selecting among the available sizes allows the bridge pattern to correspond more closely with the patella and the fracture layout rather than relying on one fixed plate outline.

Patellar Fracture and Reconstruction Applications

For orthopedic implant distributors and physicians, the plate can be cataloged for:

  • fixation of patellar fracture fragments
  • anterior plate constructs across the patella
  • reconstruction procedures involving the kneecap
  • fixation layouts calling for an open-lattice plate

Kangli Orthopaedics' Patellar Locking Plate can also be listed alongside the Tension Band Pin when a plate-based patellar construct is specified.
