Overview

Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures the Acetabular Plate Series from pure titanium for curved fixation around the posterior acetabular wall. Its broad arc, concave inner edge, descending hook profile, and bevelled apertures are shaped around the posterior wall while maintaining a thin, continuous fixation profile. The series includes a Posterior Wall Hook Acetabular Plate for positioning along the posterior acetabular wall.

Curved Geometry for Posterior Acetabular Wall Fixation

A convex outer edge and concave inner edge create a broad, symmetrical arc instead of a straight plate. This configuration corresponds to the curved posterior wall and positions the apertures along the acetabular contour from one end to the other.

Hooked Ends for Posterior Wall Positioning

The plate ends descend from the central crest and terminate in rounded, slightly tapered tips. This creates the hook profile associated with the posterior wall design and provides defined terminal contact points for positioning around the wall rather than across it as a flat bar.

Scalloped Bridges Along the Curved Plate Body

Rounded lobes surround the apertures, while narrower bridges connect the openings through the curved plate body. The repeated scalloped pattern maintains the continuous arc and places the fixation openings along the changing direction of the acetabular contour.

Bevelled Apertures in a Thin Plate Profile

Each aperture features a raised or bevelled perimeter that transitions into the thin plate surface. The aperture walls remain visible without a pronounced boss, keeping the fixation interface within the plate profile and providing access to openings distributed around the acetabular curve.

Posterior Wall and Acetabular Fixation Applications

Common application references for the series include:

  • Posterior wall acetabular fracture fixation
  • Acetabular rim fixation
  • Curved pelvic plate fixation
  • Posterior acetabular wall reconstruction

The Acetabular Plate Series may be selected alongside the Pubic Plate Series when a posterior wall hook profile is required rather than an anterior pubic contour.
