Overview

Kangli Orthopaedics supplies this titanium alloy cannulated compression screw as a headed implant for foot and ankle fixation procedures. It features a broad, slightly domed head, a smooth shaft, a short distal threaded section, and a hollow central axis for guidewire-assisted insertion.

Headed Titanium Alloy Screw Design

The flared head is wider than the shaft and provides a broad seating surface at the entry side of the fixation site. Its slightly domed profile supports consistent contact as the screw is advanced and tightened.

Smooth Shaft and Distal Thread Configuration

The majority of the shaft is smooth, while the external thread is limited to the distal section. This configuration allows the shaft to pass through the near bone segment while the distal threads engage the far segment, creating compression along the screw path as the implant is tightened.

Cannulated Guidewire-Assisted Insertion

A hollow axis extends through the screw to accommodate a guidewire. The guidewire establishes the insertion trajectory before screw placement, and the cannulated implant follows the prepared path into the fixation site.

Foot and Ankle Fixation Applications

  • Compression screw fixation in foot procedures
  • Cannulated screw placement over a prepared guidewire path
  • Headed fixation where a broad seating surface is specified
  • Compression across selected foot and ankle bone segments

Within the same screw family, this headed configuration can be considered alongside the Cannulated Headless Compression Screw with Double-Ended Threads when a headless compression profile is specified.
