Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures this distal fibular reconstruction locking plate from pure titanium for orthopedic fixation procedures involving the distal fibula and fibular shaft. Its design combines a broad, rounded distal head with a tapered, scalloped shaft and a thin, flat profile. Circular apertures and an elongated oval opening provide different screw-placement locations and support plate adjustment along the distal-to-shaft transition. It is supplied in left and right forms.
Distal Fibula and Fibular Shaft Coverage
The widened rounded head places fixation apertures across the distal fibular region, while the shaft gradually narrows toward the proximal end. This changing width follows the transition from the distal fibula to the longer shaft segment without extending the full head width along the entire plate.
Oval Slot for Plate Positioning
An elongated oval opening is positioned where the broad head transitions into the narrow shaft. Compared with a circular aperture, its extended profile provides additional space for plate positioning and adjustment before final screw placement.
Tapered Scalloped Shaft Design
Shallow scallops along the shaft edges surround the longitudinal apertures and contribute to the plate’s narrow outline. The thin, flat body follows the bone-facing profile while maintaining access to the apertures along the transition from the distal region to the shaft.
Orthopedic Reconstruction Applications
- Distal fibular fracture fixation
- Fibular shaft fracture fixation
- Reconstruction across the distal fibula and shaft
For cases involving a lateral malleolus-oriented fixation configuration, this reconstruction plate can be reviewed alongside the Distal Fibular Lateral Locking Plate as part of implant selection.
