Overview

Kangli Orthopaedics manufactures the Proximal Ulnar Locking Plate for fixation around the proximal ulna and olecranon region. Its broad, irregularly contoured head transitions into a narrower shaft, combining threaded locking holes with elongated shaft slots for plate positioning along the forearm. The changing plate width and rounded transitions create a dedicated configuration for extending from the complex proximal ulna into the straighter ulnar shaft. It is supplied in left and right forms.

Contoured Plate Geometry for the Proximal Ulna

The broad plate head features an irregular contour and rounded transitions that correspond to the changing outline of the proximal ulnar region. From the proximal segment, the tapered shaft continues along the ulna, creating a continuous plate profile from the olecranon-side area toward the shaft.

Threaded Locking Holes for Screw Retention

Threaded circular holes engage compatible locking screw heads at the plate face. This threaded interface retains the screw within the plate opening and establishes defined locking points across the contoured head. The organized hole pattern accommodates screw placement around the proximal portion of the plate.

Elongated Shaft Slots for Plate Positioning

Elongated openings along the shaft allow plate translation before the selected screw is tightened. Arranged along the long axis of the ulna, these slots extend fixation options away from the proximal head and into the shaft region.

Orthopedic Fixation Applications

  • Proximal ulna fracture fixation
  • Olecranon-region plate fixation
  • Ulnar shaft fixation
  • Forearm fracture fixation

The plate can be considered alongside the Proximal Ulnar Locking Compression Hook Plate when the fixation plan includes a hook-assisted proximal ulnar plate.
